The Kelowna Pipe Band looks forward to seeing you at the Spring Fling on May 1, 2010. We are honoured to host the event this time around and will provide regular updates here - please check in often.

Details are still thin, but here's what weve got planned so far:

Saturday May 1, 2010

10:30 am (TBC) Saturday's daytime activities (Massed Band, March and Medley competition) in City Park (off Abbott Street on the eastern shores of beautiful Lake Okanagan) Start time and playing time is dependent on the number of bands we need to make time for. We'll let you know as soon as we know.

Lots of downtown amenities (for food and shopping between events) are within walking distance of City Park. Your steward will help you find anything you need.

5:00 pm (TBC) Dinner, awards, social, entertainment to follow at the Parkinson Recreation Centre at 1800 Parkinson Way, Kelowna, BC Dinner tickets: $25/adult and $12/kids 12 and under. We'll send an order sheet out to all participating bands soon.

T-shirts will be available for pre-order for $20 each. Order forms will be sent out to all participating bands soon.

Parkinson Rec Centre is close to hotels, restaurants and shopping - Spall Plaza, Orchard Park Mall, Capri Centre Mall, etc., and is just a short drive (7-10 min) north on Highway 97 (aka Harvey Ave) from City Park.

Not certain yet if we'll have the dance/entertainment/creative portion of the competition in the park or at the Rec Centre. We'll let you know.

Plan 'B' - in case we're rained out of City Park, we'll set up for the entire day at the Parkinson Rec Centre.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me, Lynda Norman, by email or by phone at 250.878.6885
